How To Brew With AeroPress

Aeropress coffee. Process of pouring coffee in cup. Barista is pushing aeropress for pouring coffee drops. Falling coffee drops in cup close-up. Guide of how to make the best aeropress coffee.

AeroPress is a whole different dimension compared to all the other coffee brewing techniques. Why? Because with the other methods you need knowledge, practice and relative precision in order to produce something on a scale from bearable to exquisite. And AeroPress? It is completely foolproof! Even a beginner can make an absolutely delicious drink with it, without ever needing to use it before.

What is the point of a guide then? The mere reason it is simple and foolproof is because of the many variables during brewing. So yes, it can indeed result in a good cup each and every time, but if you want an excellent cup every single time, then you will need to follow the info below. Don’t worry, it is still simple!

WATER MATTERS

  • Use Feketeleves Filter Water
  • Filter-oriented water = clean & crisp flavour notes, mellow sweetness, juicy acidity, reduced astringency & bitterness
  • Tap water? There are many ways to disrespect your coffee, and tap water ranks just below adding sugar

Still confused?

You can always contact us for real human help. Or just vibe your way into it. What matters is that you enjoy the entire ritual!

How about rinsing the filter and stopping at hissing?

They will not have a significant impact on your flavour, but if you are superstitious, then they are mandatory. :)

Why the inverted method?
The inverted method works well with smaller and bigger doses too, while the standard method can be tricky if you want only a small cup.
Too sour?
grind finer / use warmer water / use more water / combination of all
Too bitter?
grind coarser / use colder water / use less water / combination of all
